Weekly Updates:

How far along: 18 weeks

Baby’s size: Bell Pepper – Your baby is as big as a bell pepper and weighs almost 7 ounces. (CRL: 5.5 inches)

Sleep: Has been very bad the last few days. I only get a few hours at a time and then I toss and turn for a little bit. I am hoping it gets better in the next few days. I’m not exactly enthralled with the insomnia.

Maternity Clothes: Yep. Went out and bought some jeans a couple sizes bigger that are stretchy denim so hopefully they will fit for a while.

Food Cravings: No cravings. Seem to be doing fairly well on the food front.

Food Aversions: Nope. Very grateful for this.

Symptoms I have: Still have the few zits that haven’t gone away since the beginning of pregnancy. That’s about it though. So far the second trimester is slowly becoming easier.

Doctor’s Appointment: Tomorrow! It is our level II ultrasound, so we are excited to get to see Sprout again.

Movement: Occasionally, but it is now like every other day instead of maybe twice a week. I can drink some orange juice and lay down and feel baby move a little bit.

Belly Button: Innie.

Gender: Team Green!

What I’m looking forward to: Feeling Sprout kick regularly and our level II ultrasound tomorrow!

What I miss: Sleep. I’m either tired all the time or so awake there is no way I can sleep. Gah!

17 Weeks

IMG_5572Weekly Updates:

How far along: 17 weeks

Baby’s size: Turnip – Your baby weighs 5 ounces this week — about as much as a turnip. (CRL – 5 inches)

Sleep: So far so good. I am taking naps during the day and just all around taking it easy.

Maternity Clothes: Yep. Even though they aren’t exactly “maternity,” just larger regular clothes.

Food Cravings: Nothing this week. I’ve been good and haven’t eaten a lot of the sweets that I have baked in the last week.

Food Aversions: None at this time.

Symptoms I have: Still have the few zits that haven’t gone away since the beginning of pregnancy. That’s about it though. So far the second trimester is slowly becoming easier.

Doctor’s Appointment: January 2. It is our level II ultrasound, so we are excited to get to see Sprout again.

Movement: Still occasionally, but it is starting to become more regular. There are occasions where I don’t know if it is baby or not, but I am sure it will start to be regular in the next couple of weeks.

Belly Button: Innie.

Gender: Team Green!

What I’m looking forward to: Feeling Sprout kick regularly and our level II ultrasound in 8 days.

What I miss: As we are getting ready to prep the house and move, I kind of miss being able to pack and move boxes on my own.

Weekly Updates:

How far along: 16 weeks

Baby’s size: Avocado – Your baby measures up to an avocado now and weighs 3.5 ounces. (CRL – 4.5 inches)

Sleep: Great when at home in bed. Not so great on an air mattress when it’s cold outside. 🙂

Maternity Clothes: Yep. Even though they aren’t exactly “maternity,” just larger regular clothes.

Food Cravings: Taquitos with sour cream and guacamole! Good thing I bought some the other day, so I think that will be lunch tomorrow. 😛

Food Aversions: None at this time.

Symptoms I have: Acne has still been pretty bad. I woke up on Saturday feeling absolutely crappy, but after a few hours it went away.

Doctor’s Appointment: Midwife appointment tomorrow.

Movement: I felt the flopping fish for a few minutes on Sunday while driving home from camping. Nothing other than that though, but it is still a little early.

Belly Button: Innie.

Gender: Team Green!

What I’m looking forward to: Feeling Sprout kick regularly and our Level II ultrasound in 15 days.

What I miss: I’m still missing my jeans, so I might cave before long and go ahead and buy some maternity pants. We shall see.

15 weeks

Weekly Updates: 3/8 of the way there!

How far along: 15 weeks

Baby’s size: Apple – Your baby has grown to the size of an apple and weighs about 2.5 ounces. (CRL = 4 inches)

Sleep: Great! Had one night full of nightmares, so I kept waking myself up all night, but that was about it.

Maternity Clothes: Yep. Even though they aren’t exactly “maternity,” just larger regular clothes.

Food Cravings: Still no cravings. But I am hungry all the time.

Food Aversions: None at this time.

Symptoms I have: I have one zit on my chin that will not ripen or go away. It has been there almost this whole pregnancy and Darrell thinks it is funny.

Doctor’s Appointment: Midwife appointment next Wednesday.

Movement: No flutters this week, but I haven’t really focused on trying to find them.

Belly Button: Innie.

Gender: Team Green!

What I’m looking forward to: Still looking forward to Seattle, but not to packing the whole house.

What I miss: I miss being able to wear my blue jeans since it has gotten a lot colder outside. These comfy pants just aren’t cutting in when it comes to the cold wind. I might spend a decent chunk of time in sweatpants if this keeps up.

14 Weeks

Weekly Updates:

How far along: 14 weeks

Baby’s size: Lemon – Your baby, now as long as a lemon, weighs about 1.5 ounces. (Length 3.5” head to bottom)

Sleep: Phenomenal! I have only been waking up once a night for the bathroom and that is usually when Darrell comes to bed, so all in all, it has been great!

Maternity Clothes: Yep. Pulled down the box of maternity clothes last night with all of the Christmas decorations.

Food Cravings: None surprisingly. I am actually having a hard time deciding on what to eat most of the time.

Food Aversions: No aversions this week.

Symptoms I have: Breaking out again. My chest has definitely grown in the last week.

Doctor’s Appointment: OB appointment tomorrow.

Movement: No flutters this week, but I haven’t really focused on trying to find them.

Belly Button: Innie.

Gender: Team Green!

What I’m looking forward to: Not exactly preggo related, but I am really looking forward to the house selling and us moving to Seattle.

What I miss: Nothing much this week. I admit I took a sip of wine this weekend since I wanted to try it.
