Still here

Not much has been going on lately. I have just been working and keeping busy. We had another Dr. appt today and have been released from the RE, so we don’t have to travel to Ft. Worth anymore. Yeah!!!

Pixel is still measuring right on schedule. Pixel is a little uncooperative so we didn’t get any good pictures of ’em. We had a very long appointment as the doc got called to a delivery during the appt.

My nauseousness seems to be getting worse. I have spent a couple of the last few days sick to my stomach. I am hoping that by this time next week, this will go away. I have a hard time on the bus, but I have been surviving. Deep breathing and focus helps a lot with stopping it.

** I wrote this on Friday and thought that I hit the publish button, but I guess I was a little more tired than I thought. So it’s a few days late, but oh well! 🙂 **

Today is Friday the 13th. It is also the day that we hit 10 weeks. Which means we only have 30 more to go!!!!!

I have good days and I have bad days. Today happened to be a bad day. No matter what I did, I was nauseous. Made work a lot of fun as I was just trying to finish the route so I could go lay down and not puke. (I have yet to actually puke, but the nauseousness has been horrible).

On top of all of that, I think I pulled a muscle in my right lower back. It is so sore that it hurts to walk. Luckily, I have a wonderful husband who pampers me 🙂 I am hoping that it isn’t a pulled muscle and it is just a side effect of the relaxin starting to work and it is just my body readjusting. I shall find out later.

We are in the process of finding a local caregiver so we can be officially released from the RE. We have met with the Midwife in town and are happy with her and definitely talking about having a home birth. (There is only one Midwife in our area. The next closest one is about 1.5 hours away). Because I like to plan for the worst and hope for the best, we want to try to find an OB that will work with the Midwife in case we end up having to go to the hospital. The midwife told us it was a hit or miss. Some OB’s work with her sometimes and then not other times. We are basically in a wait and see game. We have to talk to the insurance to see what they will cover. That might make our decision for us unfortunately.

4 more weeks

and then we will be out of the first trimester. It isn’t as though I don’t enjoy being pregnant, I do. The only thing that is making me count down really is this “morning” sickness. When I am at home, it isn’t so bad, but it seems as though getting morning sickness is really affecting my car-sickness.

Usually I am fine in a vehicle as long as I am in the front or driving. But since we flew to California, any time I am in a moving vehicle, I start to get nauseous. Of course, this does not help my job at all. I have really just given in and decided that I am going to be nauseous for about 4 hours a day. I was going to get the doctor to give me something to help, as we can’t afford me to just take a month off of worth, but the meds specify that you can’t operate heavy machinery while on them. Alas, that doesn’t help me. So I am going to be a trooper and just work through it.

Hopefully this will go away during the second trimester. That is what I am hoping for.

Sorry it has been awhile since posting. we have been busy. We headed to California for the holidays and spent a lot of time visiting family. We had fun.

As many of you knew before we left, we have a bun on board. Our doctors appointment and first ultrasound was right before we flew to California. We were told that we were having twins. Baby A, who we are calling Bit, was measuring 6 weeks 3 days. Baby B, who we are calling Pixel, was measuring 6 weeks 5 days with a beautiful heartbeat. We were still on notice about Bit as there was no heartbeat. We told everyone we saw about them as we were excited.

When we returned back to Texas yesterday, we had a follow-up appointment to check for Bit’s heartbeat and make sure the babies were growing properly. Pixel is doing great and is right on schedule measuring 8 weeks 4 days. However, we have lost Bit. It was a little tough, but we are extremely thankful that we still have Pixel who is doing fabulous.

I will try to post pictures when I get them downloaded. Today is just a relaxing day while I recover from the traveling yesterday and the doctor’s news. Hope you all had a Happy New Year!

As many of you have probably figured out by the lack of posts, we did get good news just over two weeks ago. Darrell wanted to wait as there are a lot of problems that can happen in the first trimester. We have done a lot of talking about it, and since we have shared a lot of things, we are sharing this with you. There is still a chance of a miscarriage, so no guarantees that we will not be posting more bad news.

We were going to wait until after the heartbeat to let you know, but as our appointment is at 3 on Thursday and then we are flying out to CA, we will not have a chance to update this. As of right now, all we know is that we have at least one bun in the oven. There is a small chance of twins with the HCG numbers we have been getting. We shall see on Thursday!

We are not posting on Facebook, so please don’t mention it on there. We are going to wait until after the first trimester. We also haven’t told some of our family, so we would appreciate a little bit more silence on the matter.

There won’t be posts for a few weeks probably as we are going to be in California with family until just after the first of the year, so hoping that everyone has a great Holiday Season!
