Haircuts

Prior to Jenni’s wedding at the end of March, the boys were in desperate need of a haircut. Edward waffled back and forth on whether he wanted to go really short again or if he just wanted a trim so he could grow his hair out long. He ended up going short again.

Morgan’s hair was all in his face and we had been putting it off for a long time as we didn’t want to trim his curls. But after weeks of trying to find ways to keep his hair out of his face and his boogers, we went ahead and got him his first haircut. The same barber who did Edward’s first cut did Morgan’s first cut. 🙂 He wasn’t super sure of it, but a lollipop and sitting on Daddy’s lap while getting his hair trimmed made it better for him. He looked like a brand new kid and it took us a few days to get use to the new haircut.

We spent awhile at the barber shop, so the boys found the table with checkers and they played there for awhile. Darrell decided that he wanted a trim too, so we got all the boys all trimmed up and looking good for the wedding. 🙂

March 2018

We had a super busy March. We had a playdate at the Everett Children’s Museum with a friend.

We also had a bunch of fun at different parks and playdates with friends around town, we went to a friends birthday party at an inflatable jump place, we went for a family bike ride around Greenlake, we went swimming, and we enjoyed (haha!) an early spring snowstorm.

Once again, we found a beautiful day to head down to UW for the Cherry Blossom Festival. It is always gorgeous to see all the flowers even though it kills my allergies. The boys love running around in the big open area and wandering around campus.

We had a fairly chill February. We didn’t actually do much. Our wednesdays are our busy days. Edward has school, then swim lessons and then we head over to the rec center to go swimming for a few hours. It’s a blast and the boys usually sleep really well that night.

We had a decent day and Daddy had a really long dentist appointment, so we wandered down to Woodinville and played at a park there. The boys also got some fun riding their bikes around.

We went down to the Bellevue Mall and attended the Chinese New Year Celebration. It was fun and the boys liked all the music and dancing. Edward especially liked doing the crafts.

We also took a trip up to Burlington. I found a post on Facebook about a company who was opening up their showroom for kids to come and ride their bikes. They had all sorts of balance bikes available for the kids to borrow. Edward was struggling switching from the trike to the bike, so we figured if he saw other kids, he would maybe get the feel for things. He was a little unsure of at first, but after a couple hours, he was moving with the kids. We went ahead and got him a balance bike and he is loving it and is all over the place with it now. Still not confident enough to get the pedals going, but he is fast on the balance bike. Morgan got to try a little bit at the company, but he was still a bit small. He keeps trying at home. Maybe this summer he will be out there with the bigger kids.

And of course, we spent time around the house just doing our thing.

Drat.

Well, there went some goals.. It’s been another two months! We are super busy like always, but I am getting stuff together to get posts for February, March and April up. We were busy, so there will be either multiple posts, or lots of pictures in a few posts. Anywhere from 5-10 posts I am guessing. 🙂

Darrell and I stayed mostly on top of working out, then we had Jenni’s wedding at the end of March and then the boys got sick, and yada yada so we haven’t actually worked out in almost two months. I am doing walks twice a week with my mom’s group, but with sick kiddos and trips, it has been about 3 weeks since I have done those (got one tomorrow though!). Overall, I lost 25 pounds in the first push, but the last month or so has been rough and put me back up about 5 pounds. Wrong direction Sharyn!!! C’est la vie. Gonna get back on it now that the weather is getting nicer and the boys hopefully won’t be as sick anymore. We shall see, we shall see.. The year is still young right?
