Hey everyone!People keep mentioning to Darrell and I that we don’t update this site very often. We have been extremely busy. Darrell is working hard on his thesis. He’s getting there.. I am working hard at the transit center. We are both working little by little on the wedding.My mother just threw me a bridal party and I am thankful to everyone who was able to make it. I look forward to seeing everyone at the wedding. We are so excited and can’t wait till the next four months are over. We have our invitations printed up and we will have them put together and out in the mail in mid March. Hope our webpage gives everyone the information that they need. We hope everyone is having a lovely winter time. Personally, I miss snow during Christmas. Yes I know many of you would be happy to have me visit but I’m a bit tied to my desk right now.Just wanted to give everyone an update.
We recently met with photographer Greg Huebner on the Santa Monica Beach for an engagement photo shoot. You can view a few of the results on Sharyn’s Picasa Engagement Page. We have completed the invitations and printed them all. We have completed most of our wedding registries. You can find them by clicking on the “Gift Registries” link up above. We will likely add a few items to the registries as time wears on.
Things we will be doing soon (we think).
– Choosing engravings for our rings which are ready for us in a safe in Mendocino at the shop called Old Gold.
– Posting a version of the newsletter on this site as it’s own page and including a link to the PDF so you can print it yourselves.Happy Winter!Darrell & Sharyn
Well Sharyn and I have been busy busy busy! We met with our caterer just yesterday and discussed preliminary food plans. We are happy to announce that all diets will be accommodated! Well, so far you are covered if you identify as omnivore, vegetarian, vegan, or even allergic to gluten/wheat.On another note, we have chosen a photographer and have plans to take an engagement photo with him around the Thanksgiving holiday.Feel free to pester us with questions as you see fit.
Are we supposed to call them Wedding Bands? I was afraid someone might confuse that with music which is still somewhat up in the air.So we chose our wedding rings and ordered them. They will be finished soon and stored in a safe at the jewelry store in Mendocino, CA. We have not chosen our engravings yet but know we will go with the script font. When we pass through next, we’ll take some photos of them. For now, descriptions will suffice — material: white-gold (which means they are silver in color) shiny: what’s the adjective for this part? these are some shiny silver rings! width: I think mine is 6mm and Sharyn’s is 3mm although I can’t really recall Photos to come soon…. unless that breaks some weird taboo I haven’t heard of yet. 🙂
