Hey There Guests![EDIT – the Google Groups site really isn’t working very well so we’re going to drop it. The goal was to lighten our load but poor adoption by our guests and the site just not being very customizable has led us to drop the idea. We will return to cell phones and single e-mails since the bulk of guests seem to prefer that way. You can join the group if you want. There are some useful items on there like a map of cabins so you could request a specific cabin.]  We created a Google Group to facilitate discussion and answer questions. The group will allow you to post questions, comments, and suggestions as we gear up for the wedding. It will also help if you post your travel itinerary so others can view it and we can all get a feel for who is arriving when and were.

Hey Everyone,

We are back from vacation and setting to work.  We have realized that we are getting many individual emails about the same question, so Darrell started up a google group so that we can answer a question and everyone can get the response to the question without us repeating the same thing to everyone attending. You can check it out here. If you are interested in helping in any specific area, post to the group and we can begin to get organized. It will help us greatly and we really appreciate it!

Hey Everyone!

We have been receiving RSVP’s back already. I just wanted to let you know that we are going to be waiting until April before we begin to assign cabins as we are going out of town next week. So if you haven’t heard from us yet about your cabin registration, hold tight. We will be letting you know either by email or phone around the middle of April. Thanks for your patience.

We printed and assembled (stuffed) invitations today! It took us nearly 2 hours! We’re going to mail them out a bit early as some folks have already made travel plans without knowing the full details and it will allow us a tad more time to begin figuring out sleeping arrangements. That’s right; instead of seating arrangements (which we are not doing at all by-the-way), we get to do sleeping arrangements. We have to make sure those younguns who want to stay up all night don’t keep the older generations from getting their beauty-sleep.

When filling out the RSVP cards, remember that each cabin has 4 beds and some cabins share a wall (are duplexes) so it’s like 8 beds. Since we have room to sleep 200, it will depend on how many decide to stay the night. Depending on numbers, we may end up with room for some two’s or three’s to have a cabin to themselves.

The excitement is building.
