My plan this weekend was to go through photo’s and get some posts up since I am a month behind (which I figured since we had a very busy month). But on Saturday afternoon, a big windstorm swept through our area knocking down trees and power lines. We lost power sometime between 11am and 1pm on Saturday 8/29. Since the storm was so bad, there were transmission lines, substation lines and all the little neighborhood feeder lines down. Unfortunately for a lot of people, their power was out for quite a few days. Ours was out until around 8:30pm on Monday night (9/1). As of right now, there are still about 800 customers in our PUD area that is without power. They are saying it was the worst storm they have seen since 1993. Over 175,000 customers in our PUD area were out and the estimates were almost 700,000Â customers in the entire Puget Sound area were out.
All this basically to say that I spent my weekend outside (before the rain came) and then went to bed early. There was no way for me to do any of it. But now it is back and as soon as I get some of the other stuff I needed to get done this weekend done, I will be back with lots of updates. đŸ™‚
