Weekly Updates:
How far along: 9 weeks
Baby’s size: Grape – Your baby has grown to the size of a grape, weighs a fraction of an ounce, and is almost 1 inch long.
Sleep: Sleep has been fairly good, especially now that we put in blackout curtains. The only time I don’t sleep well is the night before an ultrasound since I have a small anxiety attack. I am hoping this gets better.
Maternity Clothes: Same as last week. I am in my comfy clothes since I sit around the house all day.
Food Cravings: I satisfied all my food cravings from last week. I don’t have any for this week yet.
Food Aversions: Still a no-go on a lot of sweets I’m hoping that changes as the holidays are coming up and I have so many recipes I love to make and eat.
Symptoms I have: Nauseous & Dry-heaving — I finally was well enough to head out to get the Sea-Bands. They work! I am not near as nauseous as I was before, but I am still slightly nauseous. The only downside is that the pressure point they use makes my wrist hurt after wearing them for awhile, so I can only wear them about half the day. So far, if I wear them in the morning, I am usually fine the rest of the day. Yay! Thanks Joni & Kendra!
Doctor’s Appointment: We have been released from the RE, so now I have to set up appointments with the OB and the Midwife. Midwife hasn’t called me back, but the appointment at the OB is for next Wednesday morning. Then the OB will refer me to the MFM and I will schedule an appointment there. Oh, the joys of being considered moderately high-risk.
Movement: None so far. Lots of bubbles, but no actual movement. We did see movement on the ultrasound yesterday!
Belly Button: Innie.
Gender: Unknown until birth.
What I’m looking forward to: Getting the NT ultrasound at 12 weeks to make sure there are no neural tube defects and getting out of the first trimester! (Hoping the nauseousness goes away.)
What I miss: Nothing yet. Give me a couple weeks and I might start missing not being able to see Sprout every two weeks. We will see how the appointments line up for the other doctors. Maybe we will have them split like we did last time so we see at least one of them every two weeks. Who knows!
